Assoc. Prof. Dr. Muhammet Kadri Çolakoğlu is a gastrointestinal surgeon at University of Health Sciences, Department of Gastrointestinal Surgery, with a special focus on digestive system surgery, gastrointestinal cancers, and obesity surgery. He has received advanced training in hepatopancreatobiliary surgery and minimally invasive techniques, including both laparoscopic and robotic approaches. Dr. Çolakoğlu has authored and co-authored numerous peer-reviewed publications and book chapters in the field of gastrointestinal surgery. He has presented his work at several national and international meetings and has served as an invited speaker and panelist in scientific sessions. He is actively involved in academic and organizational activities, serving as a board member within the Turkish Hepatopancreatobiliary Surgery Association. He also works actively in many national and international professional societies. His current research interests include robotic and laparoscopic surgery, liver surgery, obesity surgery outcomes, and the use of artificial intelligence in surgery.
