Suthep Udomsawaengsup Thailand

Dr.Suthep Udomsawaengsup is a Professor of Surgery at Department of Surgery, King Chulalongkorn Memorial Hospital, Faculty of Medicine, Chulalongkorn University, Bangkok, Thailand. His contribution to the field of MIS, training in soft cadavers and metabolic bariatric surgery has been well recognized. He is a past president of the Endoscopic and Laparoscopic Society of Asia (ELSA) as well as the Asia Pacific Metabolic and Bariatric Surgery Society (APMBSS). He is currently the president of the Thai Society for Metabolic and Bariatric Surgery (TSMBS) which has firmly promoted bariatric surgery and launched a sustainable reimbursement system in the country. He has also been elected the elected President of IFSO-APC. He has been long-served as the director of Chula Minimally Invasive Surgery Center ( CMISC) and Chula Surgical Training in Soft Cadaver which provides the best model for surgeons all around the world to learn and experience with a real human anatomy. Dr.Suthep Udomsawaengsup has dozens of publications in bariatric, metabolic surgery as well as MIS. He is also conducting several ongoing prospective studies. He has successfully organized several international congress for instance APMBSS 2014 Krabi, ELSA 2019 Chiangmai, APMBSS 2023 Rayong. He has served as the chair of the internation relation committee of the Royal College of Surgeons of Thailand which international collaboration has been initiated.
