Dr Bernard Lim is a Senior Consultant General & Colorectal Surgeon, and is accredited Specialist in General Surgery. He is the current Chairman, Medical Adv Board , Mt Elizabeth Novena Hospital. He is the immediate past-president, College of Surgeons, Singapore. Previously he was the Chairman for the Chapter of General Surgeons, College of Surgeons, Singapore (2015-2019). Dr Lim is also a Life member of the prominent Endoscopic, Laparoscopic Surgeons of Asia. (ELSA), and has also served in the Medical Advisory Board in Mt Elizabeth Novena Hospital(2-15-2022). Dr Lim was from the Department of Colorectal Surgery at the Singapore General Hospital(SGH), where he was a Consultant Surgeon up till 2011. His area of subspecialty interest is in Minimally Invasive Colorectal Surgery and is an accredited Console Surgeon for the DaVinci Robotic platform. Dr Lim received the Singhealth HMDP fellowship in 2009 to train at Queen Mary Hospital in advanced minimally invasive surgery. Since then, he has conducted several workshops and courses in laparoscopic colorectal surgery. He has trained colorectal specialist and trainees in Advanced Laparoscopic Colorectal Surgery both locally (in Singapore General Hospital and Changi General Hospital) and regionally. He was an adjunct asst professor in DUKE-NUS graduate medical school, as well as clinical lecturer in the Faculty of Medicine, National University of Singapore(2011).
