  • Modifications can be made until the submission deadline. Resupplies, different versions of abstracts, or instructions to delete after submission will not be considered.
  • Abstracts will not be edited and proofread by the committee. Any errors in spelling, grammar or scientific fact in the abstract text will be reproduced as typed by the author.
  • The abstracts will be amended to house style as appropriate.

  • Authors of all abstracts are required to grant an exclusive licence on a worldwide basis to the Endoscopic and Laparoscopic Surgeons of Asia (ELSA) and the International Federation of Societies of Endoscopic Surgeons (IFSES) and/or co-owners or contracting owning societies (where published by the ELSA and IFSES on their behalf) in accordance with ELSA and IFSES’s standard licence.
  • It is your responsibility to ensure that the corresponding/lead author of each abstract is aware that by submitting their work for publication they are agreeing to the terms and conditions of ELSA and IFSES’s standard licence to publish for abstracts. As this is an exclusive licence, you must ensure that signed agreement is obtained from the author (which may be via electronic signature) and must be able to supply evidence of this to the ELSA and IFSES upon written request.

  • Notification of acceptance, including details of the presentation format, will be sent out on 15 August 2025.
  • The Scientific Committee retains the authority to decide the presentation format and topics. As presentation slots are limited, some abstracts may be reallocated to different formats.
  • Notification of acceptance or rejection will be sent only to the submitting (corresponding) author. Please note that only the corresponding author will receive an email concerning the status and is responsible for informing all co-authors. Authors whose abstracts have been accepted will receive instructions for the presentation of their abstract/video.
  • If an author is invited to present and does not confirm their participation by the registration deadline, the abstract/video may be withdrawn. Declined invitations will result in automatic withdrawal.

Abstracts are only accepted online at the Abstract Submission page by 31 July 2025. Authors must conform to the following guidelines and structure their abstracts accordingly. Abstracts not conforming to the guidelines will not be reviewed.
