Short Bio Mohan S. Gundeti MD MCh FRCS(Urol) FEAPU Fellow Leadership and Society ( University of Chicago 2024) Professor and Chief Pediatric Urology The University of Chicago: Comer Children’s Hospital Mohan S. Gundeti is an acclaimed innovator and pioneer in the field of Pediatric Robotic Surgery. He is credited with some of the first procedures performed in the world (e.g. RALIMA UOC technique and Gundeti LUAA Ureteral reimplantation). In addition to being a compassionate surgeon, he frequently shares his knowledge through worldwide, in more than 30 countries has performed surgical workshops and lectures, which have benefited thousands of patients and surgeons across the world. University of Chicago has awarded the distinguished leader in program development for his exemplary contribution. He runs a dedicated stand-alone minifellwoship training course in Pediatric Robotic surgery. He has authored and edited more than 100 manuscripts and four textbooks of Pediatric Urology and Robotic Urological Surgery to reach a global audience. He serves on editorial board of JU open plus and Urology Video Journal. He is the course director and codirector for UChicago, North American Robotic Urology symposium and European pediatric robotic course. His work has received accolades from the American and European Society of Urology, including the prestigious Hans-Marberger award and the Best Doctor in Chicago and America, award for numerous years. Alongside his brothers, he co-found the Gundeti Foundation, to provide healthcare to underserved populations in India. On a personal note, he is fond of marathons and Olympic triathlons.
