Lu Jirong
Dr Lu Jirong is a Consultant Urologist at the National University Hospital, Singapore, and an Adjunct Assistant Professor in the Department of Surgery, NUS Yong Loo Lin School of Medicine. His clinical practice spans general urology with a focus on kidney surgery and transplantation, including the Adult Kidney and Pancreas Transplantation Programmes, and urologic oncology. He graduated from NUS Medicine, completed NUH Urology Residency with specialist accreditation, and undertook a Kidney & Pancreas Transplant Fellowship at Western University (Ontario, Canada); with a DRCPSC diplomate in Solid Organ Transplantation. An active educator and core faculty in the NUHS Urology Residency, Dr Lu’s research covers surgical simulation and translational urology, with publications in journals such as European Urology, Urology and Annals Academy of Medicine, Singapore. He believes in a strong physician–patient partnership to deliver thoughtful, patient-centred care.
