Dr. Su-jin Kim is the Professor in Division of Endocrine Surgery, Department of Surgery at Seoul National University College of Medicine, and Cancer Research Institute, Seoul National University (Seoul, Korea) where 800-1000 operations for endocrine disease (thyroid, parathyroid and adrenal disease).
She is an endocrine surgeon, especially interested in clinical and translational research on thyroid cancer, and pheochromocytoma, and intraoperative neuromonitoring during thyroid surgery. She earned her MD, and PhD at Pusan National University in 2004, and 2015, respectively. She had a surgical residency training (2005-2009), and clinical fellowship training (2009-2010) at Department of Surgery, Seoul National University Hospital. 
She is an active member of the Korean Association of Endocrine Surgeons (KAES), Korean Thyroid Association (KTA), and American Thyroid Association (ATA), and Korean Intraoperative Neural Monitoring Society (KINMoS). 
In 2023, she published the results of multicenter cohort study for active surveillance for low-risk papillary thyroid cancer at Annals of Surgery as a corresponding author (Ann Surg. 2023 Nov 1;278(5):e1087-e1095). She has received 8 research awards from The Korean Association of Endocrine Surgeons, and International Society of Oncoplastic Endocrine Surgeons, and has worked as an Editorial board member, Scientific reports (Springer) since 2022.
