Dr. Gyan Chand is a Professor in the Department of Endocrine Surgery at Sanjay Gandhi Postgraduate Institute of Medical Sciences (SGPGIMS), Lucknow, India. He completed his MS in General Surgery from King George’s Medical College, Lucknow, and specialized training in Endocrine Surgery at SGPGIMS. He further trained at Nagoya University and Kuma Hospital, Japan, MSKCC, New York, and completed an international robotic surgery fellowship at Seoul National University, South Korea.
Dr. Chand has performed over 500 remote access thyroid surgeries, including more than 150 robotic thyroid and parathyroid procedures. His key interests include minimally invasive, endoscopic, and robotic endocrine surgery, especially bilateral axillo-breast and transoral robotic approaches.
With over 150 peer-reviewed publications and multiple awards, he is a recognized leader and mentor, frequently invited to deliver lectures and perform live surgical demonstrations at national and international forums.
