Dr Lester Ong is a consultant in the Department of Surgery in Sengkang General Hospital. He graduated from the Yong Loo Lin School of Medicine, National University of Singapore in 2008 and completed his General Surgery specialist training in 2018. He is a fellow of the Royal College of Surgeons of Edinburgh.
Dr Lester Ong has a special interest in advanced endoscopy and minimally invasive upper gastrointestinal (UGI) tract surgery. He has completed a fellowship in advanced endoscopy in Prince of Wales Hospital in Hong Kong, a world-renowned centre in digestive endoscopy. He is a member of the Obesity and Metabolic Surgery Society of Singapore (OMSSS), International Federation for the Surgery of Obesity and metabolic disorders (IFSO), American Society for Gastrointestinal Endoscopy (ASGE), Endoscopic and Laparoscopic Surgeons of Asia (ELSA), and World Endoscopy Organization (WEO).
