Stefan Benz Germany

Prof. Stefan Rolf Benz is a German surgeon and oncologist, best known for pioneering work in colorectal cancer surgery, especially minimal invasive in complete mesocolic excision (CME). He serves as Chief Physician and Medical Director at Klinikum Sindelfingen-Böblingen. He has led a multi-centre trail evaluating CME and a national initiative to standardize colorectal cancer care in Germany. Benz is also active in surgical education, device innovation, and scientific publishing in colorectal and oncologic surgery. He has founded the company "Simultare" that aimes at establishing a comprehensive functional AI-based model of human anatomy
