Zang LU China

Prof. Lu Zang, MD, is the Deputy Director of General Surgery at Ruijin Hospital, Shanghai Jiao Tong University School of Medicine, China. He has long been engaged in the comprehensive management of GI tumors, with a particular focus on minimally invasive surgery. Dr. Zang pioneered totally laparoscopic gastrectomy in China and led the development of the Guidelines for Laparoscopic Gastrectomy in China. He was also one of the participants in the world’s first prospective multicenter clinical trial (RELARC Trial) on laparoscopic right hemicolectomy with D3 lymphadenectomy. He has authored more than 110 peer-reviewed publications, such as JCO, BJS, received multiple national awards for achievements in medical science and technology, and currently leads several national research projects.
