Eugene Liu Singapore

Dr Eugene Liu is a Senior Consultant in the Department of Anaesthesia, National University Hospital. As Chief Sustainability Officer of the National University Health System, he led the planning of NUHS’ environmental sustainability work in clinical care, operations and infrastructure, and the development of NUHS’ carbon accounting framework and sustainability reporting. He also serves as Chairman of the Hospital Planning Committee for the redevelopment of NUH. Eugene is NUH’s immediate past Chief Executive Officer. He oversaw the growth of NUH’s complex tertiary care that define NUH as an academic medical centre, and the development of value-based care. He led the expansion of NUH’s infrastructure, and the implementation of risk management and emergency preparedness. He led NUH’s response to the outbreak of COVID. He previously served as Head of the Department of Anaesthesia in NUH and as Assistant Dean for Academic Affairs and International Relations of the Yong Loo Lin School of Medicine, National University of Singapore.
