Dr Tousif Kabir is currently specialising Hepatopancreatobiliary Surgery in Sengkang General Hospital (SKH). He completed an international Fellowship in Hepatopancreatobiliary Surgery and Liver Transplantation in the Austin Hospital, Melbourne, Victoria. His has a keen interest in minimally invasive procedures for both benign and malignant HPB pathologies as well as general surgical conditions. Dr Tousif is a member of the International HPB Association, the HPB Association of Singapore as well as AMEI. His administrative roles in SKH include being a member of the Bundled care and capitation workgroup, Value-driven care (VDC) champion for laparoscopic cholecystectomy, OTMU committee as well as the Surgical High Dependency Unit consultant in charge. He is also actively involved in education, and his commitments include being Core Faculty of the SingHealth General Surgery Residency as well as Physician Faculty of the PGY 1 programme. Dr Tousif is a Clinical Assistant Professor for DUKE-NUS Medical school and National University of Singapore School of Medicine. He is also the clinical block lead for General Surgery for Lee Kong Chian (LKC) School of Medicine as well as Adjunct Lecturer, and also an instructor for Advanced Trauma Life Support (ATLS). Dr Tousif has a keen interest in clinical research in HPB surgery, and has published several papers in prestigious journals to date. He also regularly serves as reviewer for many peer-reviewed journals.
