Adrian CHIOW Kah Heng
Dr. Adrian Chiow is a Senior Consultant Hepatobiliary and Pancreatic (HPB) Surgeon at the Department of Surgery, Changi General Hospital and immediate past Head of Department. His sub-specialty interest is in minimally invasive (laparoscopic and robotic) HPB. He graduated with MBBS from the University of Melbourne (Australia)(Hons) in 2003 and completed training in General Surgery at Singhealth with Specialist Accreditation Board certification in 2012. He subsequently commenced his specialist HPB training in CGH before undergoing further sub-specialty clinical training under the Human Manpower Development Programme (HMDP) award in 2013 for advanced and minimally invasive (laparoscopic/robotic) HPB Surgery at the Royal Brisbane Hospital, Brisbane, Australia. Since returning from fellowship, he started the Advanced Laparoscopic HPB service in 2014 and the Robotic HPB program in 2016 in CGH. He is actively involved in undergraduate teaching as Clinical Associate Professor at Duke-NUS Medical School while holding concurrent appointments as Adjunct Associate Professor with the Yong Loo Lin School of Medicine, National University of Singapore and Lee Kong Chian School of Medicine. Dr. Chiow research interests are in improving clinical outcomes and quality of life for patients undergoing minimally invasive (laparoscopic and robotic) HPB surgery. He is the current President of ASEAN LHC council and Vice President of HPB Association (Singapore).
