Eng Pei Chia Singapore

Dr Eng graduated from St Bartholomew, School of Medicine and Dentistry and received her postgraduate training in the Imperial College London (UK). During her time in Imperial, she obtained her PhD, specialising in the study of reproductive endocrinology. Her PhD works involved investigating the translational potential of a hypothalamic peptide, kisspeptin in men and women with reproductive disorders. Dr Eng currently work in Singapore and have taken a keen interest in women's health in particular women with metabolic disease such as gestational diabetes. Her other interest is in steroid weaning and in investigating the rate of adrenal recovery following prolonged glucocorticoid use. She set up the first dedicated clinical service for women with gestational diabetes after delivery with an overarching vision to reverse metabolic complications after delivery in high-risk women.
