Associate Professor Vitoon Chinswangwatanakul is a surgical staff at the MIS Unit, Division of General Surgery, Department of Surgery, Faculty of Medicine Siriraj Hospital, Mahidol University, Bangkok, Thailand. After M.D. and Thai Board of Surgery from Siriraj Hospital, he worked as an honorary registrar at the Hammersmith Hospital, London, UK. In 1999, he received Ph.D. from the Imperial College School of Medicine, University of London. He is an active member of the American Association for Cancer Research (AACR). In 2016, he became the international member of Japan Society for Endoscopic Surgery (JSES). He is the Past-President of Thai Hernia Society (THS) and Past-President of the Society of Laparoscopic and Endoscopic Surgeons of Thailand (LEST). Currently, he is a Chairman of Siriraj Cancer Center, Vice President of Mekong Endo-Surgery Development Association (MESDA) and Vice-President the Royal College of Surgeons of Thailand. He is interested in the minimally invasive and robotic surgery, hernia, surgical infection, nutrition and carcinogenesis of colorectal cancer.
